Josef Salvat shook the world with his cover of Rihanna's "Diamonds", but he started his musical journey with the killer songs "This Life" and "Hustler". Since 2013 he has wowed his audience with his deep voice, captivating lyrics and emotional, pulsating music. He is currently preparing for the release of his debut album "Night Swim" later this year and is touring the UK and Europe in October. Daily Salvation gives you an inside look of Josef's world.
New Videos & Upcoming
My Dear Salvatians, it's been a while since our last update and first and foremost we would like to apologize. You probably have been following Josef and noticed there have not been many updates in the past year - well, apart from Josef dropping his debut album "Night Swim", a few appearances here and there, and most recently (yesterday that is) Josef's performance at the Lancôme Stars Dinner in Monaco. As you've been patiently waiting for something to happen on this site, we have been working hard behind the scenes. We have just uploading Josef's interview and performance from last night to the Video Section, as a thank you to all the Salvatians. (They are located in the Interviews and Performances categories.)
What happened the past year? Well, Salvatians were born! As more and more people got to know Josef, our loyal team of fans has grown and given the name Salvatians! (Thank you Josef Daily!) So far the Salvatians have been meeting up at shows and doing special things for Josef (like a special new year's video compilation and a fanbook). We love everything the Salvatians do and we appreciate you more than you know!
What has Josef been upto?...He cut off his hair. And with a new look comes new music! He's been working hard in the studio and so far has registered several songs on ASCAP (see his full song list here). He stated that he is working with various people, and has been spotted on Instagram with singer Kelis (could this mean a collabo?). Rumor also has it that he (finally) worked with Sia! No matter what, I'm pretty sure it will be worth the wait!
What will happen with Daily Salvatian? Well...we are currently working hard on a new design, new content and updates (photos, videos, information). Because we want to make sure everything looks perfect and more importantly, works perfect, the new site will be launched somewhere in the summer. We are really looking forward to sharing everything with you!
Lastly, we would once again like to thank Josef, the band and all the Salvatians out there! Your love and support is greatly appreciated and we hope to meet more Salvatians at future shows! We love you <3

The Making of Night Swim
Josef has just released a behind the scenes video of making the "Night Swim" album. The video contains footage of Josef in the studio recording several songs, where he also explains certain elements of the songs (like adding live strings and a choir). There's also some cool footage from a few live shows, also backstage, and Josef in London and Amsterdam (his show at Paradiso in March 2015.) You can watch the video on his YouTube channel, but we also added it to our Video Section (Various category). Enjoy - it's pretty good.
Don't forget that the worldwide release of "Night Swim" is February 19th! You can pe-order the album at the official store here or on iTunes and get "Open Season", "Paradise" and three other songs instantly.

"Paradise" Music Video
The official music video for "Paradise" is finally released! Josef mentioned shooting the video on Instagram almost two months ago with a backstage photo, and this Tuesday he posted a clip on social media announcing the video to be released "tomorrow". So the video was released yesterday on YouTube and we're pretty sure you have all already seen it. It was shot in London by Ollie Wolf, who also shot the "Open Season" vdeo. There is also a video for "Le Paradis Nous Trouvera", the French version, which is basically the same video - just like "Open Season" and "Une Autre Saison". You can view the video on YouTube or our Video Section.

"Paradise" Official Cover
Oh yeah! This day is getting better and better. It has been announced that "Paradise" (the English version) is the next single! It was posted to Josef's YouTube channel today with the official single cover, and that means today - December 18 - is the official release date. We're very excited about this news and about the song, which is, obviously, perfect! And hear about this: Pre-order your copy of "Night Swim" on iTunes now and get "Paradise" and four other songs right away! Isn't that great? Oh and yes, the video for "Paradise" has been shot, by Ollie Wolf (the dude who directed the brilliant "Open Season" video). It is yet to be released, but it promises to be amazing. So stay tuned and check out the single cover and audio below!
We have some major news on the global release of "Night Swim"! You may have already seen on Josef's Facebook, but we're too excited not to share as well! The official cover has been released and it's bloody perfect. While the cover of the French release was in the same lines as the "In Your Prime" era, this new cover is completely different. It's artistic and so totally Joe and we absolutely love it. It's going to turn heads....imagine this standing in the local record store! BOOM. "Who that!?" JOSEF SALVAT.
Anyway, we'll stop being silly (the adrenaline rush is to blame). The global edition of "Night Swim" will be released WORLDWIDE (Hello, America, here we come!) on February 19, 2016. The standard edition will feature 12 tracks, including the English versions of "Open Season" and "Paradise", and the classic Salvat track "Every Night". The Deluxe edition will include four additional tracks; we will finally hear the studio versions of "Secret" and "In The Audience", two tracks he wrote to end a relationship. Both were performed during the "In Your Prime" and "Night Swim" tours. As for the booklet: YES, it WILL feature photos from the same photoshoot as the cover! We can all completely live with that right? (And dream about those Salvat eyes). See the cover and tracklist below and don't forget to visit the Music Section for additional information and audio snippets!
Oh and pre-order your copy on iTunes now and get "Paradise" and four other songs right away!

We have just uploaded the videos from Josef's show at Melkweg Amsterdam, on November 5th 2015. The show was amazing and even better than the kick off show at Rotown Rotterdam the weekend before. It was the first time Josef performed "The Days" in the Netherlands, as he didn't perform it in Rotterdam. Apologies for the quality of the audio, once again, we were standing next to the sound system. We will try to get better footage on the second leg of the tour, starting this March. Also, apologies for the video of "The Days"; it's a bit shaky because I was dancing - try not to when you're at a Salvat show! Hope you guys enjoy anyways.
We have just uploaded the rest of the videos from Josef's kick off show of the Night Swim Tour, at Rotown Rotterdam on October 31st 2015. The videos, seven in total, are located at the Video Section. Enjoy Josef performing "Hustler", "Till I Found You", "Shoot And Run", "A Better Word", "Punch Line" and "Closer". There are 2 versions of "A Better Word", one recorded with a camera and one with an iPhone. If you are wondering about the quality of the sound; it's shit because we were standing next to the sound system. The audio quality of the iPhone video is much better. Obviously Josef is perfect live and these videos don't do his voice justice. We apologize to Josef and the fans!
So we finally had some time to upload some of the tour videos. We'll start with the first show, the kick off show at Rotown Rotterdam on October 31st. So far we uploaded four videos; "Night Swim", "Paradise", "Constant Runners" and "In The Audience", which are located over at the Video Section in a new category; "Night Swim Tour". We are currently editing the rest of the first show and in the next couple of days, we will be uploading them. Then we will continue with the video from Josef's show at Melkweg Amsterdam and Le Trianon in Paris.
We would like to present to you the photos we took during Josef's show at Melkweg Amsterdam, on November 5th. This was the second show from the Night Swim Tour that we attended and there's nothing else to say other than it was perfect! It was the first time we heard "The Days" live (apart from seeing the live footage from the Reeper Bahn Festival) and it was better than expected. Our review from the show will be added later, as well as the videos. In the meantime, enjoy the (not so perfect) photos, which can be found in the Night Swim Tour category over at the Photo Section.
Hi Salvat fans! First of all we would like to apologize for the lack of updates. Due to personal reasons and because we followed Josef during the Night Swim Tour, we were unable to update. Out of respect for the victims, families and affected of the inhumane events that occured in Paris this previous weekend, we decided to wait a few more days. Our hearts go out to all of you, and we would like to focus on the positive; the successful and absolutely brilliant Night Swim Tour, which started on October 31st and ended on November 12th.
We have finally edited the photos of the kick-off show at Rotown Rotterdam. And what a great first show! The photos can be viewed in the Photo Section, categorized under "Night Swim Tour". The videos and review will follow, as well as the footage from the shows in Amsterdam and Paris. Enjoy for now.
On behalf of the Daily Salvation team and all the Salvat fans out there, we would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSEF! May your day be beautiful, fun, but most of all just the way you want! We love you xo
And what are all the Salvat fans doing today to celebrate? Salvatting, obviously! Listening to that gorgeous album, ordering it or unwrapping it as we speak! Because no day is ever complete without a little Salvation. Guys, if you don't own "Night Swim" yet, order it on Amazon or iTunes! What better gift than bring Josef to that iTunes Top 10 by the end of the week!? Also, don't forget to purchase tickets to the Night Swim Tour, kicking off this Saturday!

Music Section Updated
We finally had some time to update the Music Section. Not only did we correct all the lyrics from the "Night Swim" album, we have also added audio snippets for most songs. Unfortunately there are no studio versions for several songs available yet, such as "Secret", "In The Audience" and the English version of "Paradise", so we added live snippets for those tracks. We are currently working on adding more to the Music Section, as well as uploading more photos and videos. Keep checking back this week, but in the mean time enjoy the audio and lyrics. And don't forget to purchase the album and tickets for the Night Swim Tour, which kicks off this Saturday in Rotterdam.
Another new song on the album is "Week-end A Rome", a cover of French singer Etienne Daho. The original song was released in 1984 and also covered by Nouvelle Vague in 2010. Josef's cover was recorded in the summer of 2015 and was released today, along with the album. Of course we wrote down the lyrics for you and the song now has its own page in the Music Section (access via songlist). You can view a snippet of the lyrics below and we will do our best to add audio snippets as soon as possible.
So "Night Swim" has finally been released and one of the new songs is called "A Better Word". The song was written and recorded in the summer of 2015 and is a heartbreaking piano ballad about wanting to be loved. Of course we spent all day listening to the album and even though each and every single song is perfection, "A Better Word" struck us immediately. We have written down the lyrics for you and the song now has it's own page in the Music Section (access via the songlist). You can see a snippet of the lyrics below. We are currently working on adding all the audio snippets, so you can have a taste of it.
‘Cause that is all I really need
When all the rest of it is blown away
To not be ending it alone
So I’m begging would you love me
‘Cause I am down on bended knee
And fear is dripping over me
‘Cause I don’t want to see this end
I only wanna give you love
I’m over with a single glance
These heady nights, this heady trance
I’m looking for a better word
There must be one I didn’t learn
At once too much but not enough
Perhaps you’ll need to lie a little
Happy Salvat Day everyone!! Yes, we named this day Salvat Day because Josef's highly anticipated debut album has finally been released! The epicness that is called "Night Swim" doesn't only feature his singles "Hustler", "Till I Found You" and "Diamonds", but also the amazing songs "Constant Runners", "Closer" and "Le Paradis Nous Trouvera", which we have all heard live. The new song "A Better Word", an emotional ballad, will sure pull on your heart strings. And the Etienne Daho cover "Week-end a Rome" has been Salvatized a la "Open Season" and feels like the best way to close the album.
Unfortunately, the album has only been released in France thusfar, but Josef promises it will be released in Switzerland and Belgium very soon. The rest of the world will have to wait until early next year, but will have other songs - "In The Audience" will be featured on the deluxe version.
If you haven't ordered the album yet, you can do so at Amazon.fr. They ship to most countries, so you'll be able to hold that baby in your hands! (Keep in mind that shipping to any continent other than Europe may take a bit longer.) If you're in France, you can order the digital download on Amazon as well. iTunes offers the album to France only, but if you change your country to France you can listen to the amazing snippets while you wait for the CD to arrive.
Josef shared this photo on his Facebook early this morning. We want to congratulate you Josef on this fine, fine day - the moment we all have been waiting for! It was well worth the wait and we're so happy for you!
Daily Salvation will be adding snippets to the Music Section shortly, and we will revise the lyrics as soon as possible (lyrics for "Constant Runners" and "The Days" have been altered already). Once we have the CD in our hands, we will be adding additional information about the album as well. But for now - just do your best to get your hands on a copy! HAPPY SALVAT DAY!

Le Paradis Nous Trouvera
In addition to the release of the amazing and highly anticipated debut album "Night Swim", Josef has revealed the cover art for the French version of "Paradise" - "Le Paradis Nous Trouvera". The cover art is in the same style as "Hustler" and "Till I Found You" and was designed by Mat Maitland, who is also responsible for the "In Your Prime" era (and some of Lana Del Rey's album art). It seems "Le Paradis Nous Trouvera" is the official second single from "Night Swim", but whether there will be a music video accompanying the song is yet to be announced. You can listen to the full song on Josef's YouTube.

Night Swim & Upcoming
Daily Salvation is back! And just in time for the release of the highly anticipated debut album of our lovely Josef. "Night Swim" will be released in France, Switzerland and Belgium tomorrow! If you haven't pre-ordered your copy yet, you can still do it. The physical CD can be pre-ordered at Amazon.fr. They ship to most countries, but check out the full list here. Keep in mind that shipping to any continent other than Europe may take a bit longer. If you'd like the digital album, you can also pre-order it on Amazon.fr, or on iTunes (make sure you change your country to France, Belgium or Switzerland).
As for Daily Salvation, a lot of updates and new content are coming in the following week. We have some alterations for the Music Section, some new photos and videos. Next week will be the start of the Night Swim Tour, which premieres at Rotown Rotterdam, NL. Daily Salvation will be there and will make sure to document as much as possible. If you haven't got tickets for the tour yet, go to the Tour Section and order your tickets! The tour will be well worth your money.

One Week Break
Daily Salvation will take a break for a week, as we'll be traveling to London. Our initial plan was to go to Josef's show at The Haunt in Brighton, but as you all know, the UK dates were postponed until March. So unfortunately we won't be able to see Josef, or document the show for you guys. We are currently in the talks of going to the show in March. Daily Salvation will still be present at the first show of the tour, in Rotterdam on October 31st, and also in Amsterdam on November 5th. We won't be online in the following week, so no updates, but you can still visit the website and enjoy the photos and videos. We will be back on Tuesday October 20th, and we will update ASAP. There's a lot more still to come, so we'll see you all next week!

Reeperbahn Festival 2015
Josef performed at Reeperbahn Festival on September 26, 2015 in Germany. You may have already seen the show, as it was live streamed on the website. During his nearly one hour show he performed his singles "Hustler", "Diamonds" and "Open Season", along with other songs from the "Night Swim" album, including the English version of "Paradise". If you haven't seen it though, we have uploaded it to our Youtube Channel. You can watch the full show below, or you can simply go to the direct link.

"Paradise" French Lyrics
Our very lovely and awesome editor Pauline has written down the French lyrics for "Paradise (Le Paradis Nous Trouvera)". As you know, the original lyrics for "Paradise" have been adapted by French singer/songwriter Doriand. Even though I can't speak French myself, it's safe to say the French adapted lyrics are not a literal translation of the original. We think Doriand did an amazing job with the adaption and Josef's accent is bloody brilliant. You can look at a snippet of the lyrics below and read the full lyrics in our Music Section, where a special page for "Le Paradis Nous Trouvera" has been added to the Songlist. Enjoy!
Forgetting gets easy where the milk and honey run
And our sense grows sharp of the fruits of an island sun
So the French version of "Paradise" (Le Paradis Nous Trouvera) was just released on Spotify, and what an amazing song it is! The French lyrics were adapted by French singer/songwriter Doriand, but of course it's not fully French. Just like "Open Season (Une Autre Saison)", certain parts, like the majority of the chorus, are still in English. If you have heard the live version of "Paradise", you might have to adjust to the French parts, but we absolutely love this version!
There is currently a rumor going on that this will be the next single. Unfortunately, we can't fully confirm or discard. Josef did tell us back in August this was a possibility. In our opinion, it would be a good choice for the French release of the album. Besides, wouldn't it be great to have a video for this brilliant song!? It's Salvat Paradise, I tell you!
You can listen to a snippet of the song below, or if you want to hear the full version - just head on over to Spotify.

Tour Dates Postponed
We have some bad news regarding the Night Swim Tour. Today Josef officially announced that the UK, German, Swiss and Strasbourg dates of the tour have been postponed until March 2016 due to logistical reasons. All purchased tickets will be valid on the new dates. If you won't be able to make it to the new dates, please contact the ticket seller or venue for a refund. Unfortunately, not all sellers give a refund. If that's the case, try and sell your tickets online. See the new dates below. All the other tour dates are still the same and the tour will kick off on October 31st at Rotown Rotterdam, NL.
I would also like to say the postponing of the tour dates is not Josef's fault. These kind of things happen and 90% of the time the artists have nothing to do with it. I know it's a sad announcement, and we're very sorry if you won't be able to make it to the new dates. (Or if you made arrangements to travel to another city or country, like we have.) Just remember you are not alone, there are other fans who were looking forward to the tour. And I'm sure Josef is very sad about this as well, so let's not throw rocks at him please. Keep supporting him and try and make it to the new dates. Thank you!
You may have already heard, and really, this should not come as a surprise. It has officially been confirmed that there will be a French version of the brilliant song "Paradise" on the French release of Josef's highly anticipated debut album "Night Swim", coming October 23rd. The lyrics of the French version, "Le Paradis Nous Trouvera", were adapted by French singer/songwriter Doriand, and promises to be a smash! You can pre-order the album on Amazon, or on iTunes (and get "Open Season (Une Autre Saison)", "Shoot And Run", "Hustler", "Till I Found You" and "Diamonds" right away!)

Fan Spotlight: Gonzalo Caps
We would like to introduce you to Gonzalo Caps, a singer from Spain, who is also a huge Salvat fan. Gonzalo's Salvation started at the beginning of Josef's career and he has been a big supporter ever since. You may have already heard Gonzalo's amazing piano cover of "Hustler", that actually got him noticed by Mr. Salvat himself. If you haven't, the YouTube video is below. Gonzalo was lucky enough to meet Josef in 2014 in Paris, where they took the most brilliant selfie (on the right). You can read Gonzalo's full story over at the Fan Forum.
You should also check out Gonzalo's own music - you will not be disappointed!
If you've also met Josef, share your story on the Fan Forum and get a chance to be in the Fan Spotlight yourself.

The Album Cover
So last week we gave you a little preview of the "Night Swim" album cover, which really wasn't great quality due to it being a screenshot. Now we send you the good news, that the high quality version of the cover has been released! Now, unfortunately, we can not confirm that this will actually be the final artwork as it has not been featured on iTunes or Amazon. But it was added to Josef's Facebook (and since been removed) and since the "Night Swim" song will not be released as a single, we have reason to believe this is the official album artwork.
It follows the same style as the "In Your Prime" EP and we believe it has been created by the same designer. We are in love with this, the colors are beautiful, the whole scene is so Salvat, and it's going to look brilliant in print! Take a look at the full image below, or go to the Photo Section to see it in full size.
Edit: The cover has been added to Amazon! Official, official, official! Excitement all around.

Official Album Tracklist
The official tracklist of the French release of the highly anticipated "Night Swim" album has finally been announced on Amazon! The 13-track debut album will be released in France, Switzerland and Belgium on October 23rd, 2015 under the labels Columbia and Fingers & Thumbs. Included on this release are the smash hits "Diamonds", "Hustler", "Till I Found You" and the recently released single "Open Season". It seems "Une Autre Saison", the French version of the latter will not be released. But maybe it's a typo!
There are three new songs on the album, the beautiful "The Days", which was premiered at the NDR Soundcheck show, "A Better Word", which in Josef's own words is a beautiful ballad, and a new cover of Etienne Daho's "Week-end a Rome". You can listen to the original here. Take a look at the official "Night Swim" tracklist below. Go to the Fan Forum to discuss!
1. Open Season
4. Till I Found You
5. Constant Runners
6. Night Swim
8. Shoot and Run
9. The Days
11. A Better Word
13. Week-end a Rome
Our amazing researcher/editor Pauline has found exclusive photos of the original "Open Season" video! The video was recorded in 2014, when "Open Season" was intended to be released as the next single. Unfortunately the video was never released and Josef released a new video for "Hustler" in stead (which really did not disappoint). All the available shots from the original "Open Season" video have been added to our Photo section under a new category; "Screenshots".
From the looks of the shots this video would have been magical - it's very artsy and looks like a mix of the "This Life" and first "Hustler" videos; and we actually feel this is so much like Josef with the architectural buildings. The video was shot by Alan Masferrer and all credit goes to him!
We are super uber excited to present to you a little preview of the album cover of the highly anticipated debut album "Night Swim"! Josef was, once again, guest at C’Cauet on NRJ Radio in France, where he had a little chat and performed his single "Open Season". There was a little surprise at the big screen behind Josef at the end of the performance; nothing less than the official "Night Swim" album cover! You can watch the video of the performance on YouTube. You can go to the Fan Forum to tell us what you think of the art work. Oh and here's a screenshot below.

Mainsquare Festival & NDR
We had a few Salvat fans in panic after NDR decided to delete the stream of Josef's full show from their website. Luckily, we at Daily Salvation never let good Salvat stuff expire! You can watch the full show on our Youtube Channel. If you can't find it, it's in our "Salvat Live" playlist, or just simply go to the direct link! We edited some of the highlights and added those to our Video Section; "Closer", "Constant Runners", "Secret" and of course the previously uploaded "The Days".
Plus our lovely video editor Pauline has recorded Josef's entire show at Mainsquare Festival 2015, which took place on July 5th. You can also watch this on our Youtube Channel, or click the direct link here. Our favorite songs were edited out and are now uploaded to our Video Section; "Every Night", "Night Swim", "Paradise", "Punchline" and "Secret" - ENJOY!
Some new exclusive videos have been added to the Video Section. "Hustler" and "Constant Runners" were recorded at London Calling 2014, which was the first time I ever saw Josef live (yes, that was a special day). I must apologize for the quality of the sound; as you can see in the videos, I was standing right in front of the speakers and basically everyone knows that's death for your camera (I didn't at the time, thinking my camera was somehow holy and could still record everything flawlessly.)
And then of course we have three videos of his "In Your Prime" Tour; the heart pulling track "In The Audience" (I heard this one for the first time), powerhouse "Punchline" and the brilliant single "Till I Found You". All of these were recorded at his show at Paradiso Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Once again, apologies for the visual quality, or lack of it really. I recorded these in portrait, because it would not have been way more logical to record these in landscape ('I'm not smart enough for that'). I do hope you enjoy these videos!
You may have already heard the good news, and you might be just as excited as us: Josef has confirmed the official release date of his debut album "Night Swim"! The French release will be available in France, Belgium and Switzerland on October 23rd - so start preparing for the most anticipated album of 2015! The French release will include the singles "Diamonds" and "Open Season (Une Autre Saison)". It promises to be an epic release and will lift Josef to new heights.
Josef spoke with Non Stop People about the album release and a new (French) cover which he recorded last month, and will be included on the album. You can read the full French interview at www.non-stop-people.com.
We would also like to thank JosefDaily for telling us the good news!

Videos from AWF
It took a while, but the videos from Amsterdam Woods Festival are here! Thusfar we only uploaded 5 of them, because the others need a bit more sound editing; being too close to the sound system is not good for your recordings. We also apologize for the visual quality of some of them; the stage lights were crazy blinding and the camera couldn't handle it; and sometimes it's hard to film when you want to enjoy the show as well, when dancing it's even worse. We hope you enjoy them; "Constant Runners", "Till I Found You", "Closer", "Night Swim" and "Diamonds".
Josef performed at NDR Soundcheck in Germany on September 11th, and what a brilliant show it was! Josef sang 14 songs in an hour, including the singles "Open Season" and "Till I Found You" and the amazing songs "Closer" and "Constant Runners". It was also a night to celebrate, as he premiered a new track, "The Days". Even though Josef says it's a happy song in the likes of "Open Season", it might pull on your heart strings. The full show was recorded and can be viewed at NDR.de, where you can also found an interview from the show.
We cut out the performance of "The Days" and added it to our Video section, under "Performances", just so you can hear what an amazing song it is.
We also added a page for the song to the Music section (listed under "Songlist") with information and lyrics. A snippet of the lyrics can be found below.
I have lived with another's arms
Pulling me up till I learn to stand
On my own two feet with my own ideas
And my own believes
Hearts are broken, nations fall
Youth's prides burn, time eats it all
But still it starts back up again
It never ends
Look at me now
I'm here before you
I finally found the guts
To start with nothing to lose
Nothing to hide
And everything to prove
But it takes all you've got
All you're made of
And you learn that the soul has got to change
So you throw all your cards out the window
You carry on, making it up on the way
Through the woods, you forget, but tomorrow
To the countless doubts that hides the blame
Till you learn how to love and to be loved
These are the days and you're living them your way

"Open Season (Gryffin Remix)"
Josef posted a new remix of "Open Season" on his YouTube three days ago, the Gryffin Remix. It's a nice laid back version of the song, which makes you wish summer never ended. The remix is accompanied by a new version of the cover art. Without the "Gryffin Remix" tag, this might be the official cover for the single, which is set to release on September 18. Unfortunately, we were unable to post a snippet to our Soundcloud, due to copyrights. So we added the YouTube audio below. Enjoy!

No Holes and the Bard
So our lovely editor Pauline found some amazing information on a play Josef was in four years ago. It's called "No Holes and the Bard" and was created by Meg O’Connell (production company: Black Mountain Productions). Apparently it was shown during the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We are currently trying to find more information, photos and footage of the show. If you know anyone who can provide us with such items, please contact us at email@example.com. Below is a review from the play.
"Travelling to the mysterious lands of Skype and Google, Documents from their desktops in Barcelona and Colombia, Australian singer/songwriter Josef Salvat and baby-bird playwright Meg O’Connell have teamed up to write a one-man cabaret show! Playing a range of obscene and colourful characters, their MC is a jack-of-all-trades and a master of us all. The show promises to take silly things seriously and serious things with a grain of salt!"
As you know Josef performed at the Amsterdam Woods Festival last Saturday, and I was lucky enough to be there. It was a lovely little festival in the woods, as the title says, with various indie artists performing. Even though I didn't see many performances, I did see the wonderful Josef, who was once again a massive success! It's nice to hear people in the audience were in love with his amazing voice, and I was happy to hear people singing along with "Diamonds", which thus far hasn't made a big impact here, unfortunately.
Charged with two camera's I captured 90% of the show in video and photo. We're currently editing the videos, but the photos have just been uploaded and added to the archive.
The full coverage of the festival will be online soon, along with some new and extended content. Please stay tuned while we work hard backstage!

"Night Swim" (Album) News
A few days ago we gave you some bad news about the album, but this time we actually have some good news! It has been confirmed that "Night Swim", the album, will be released in October 2015. However, it will be the French release - only released in France, Belgium and Switzerland. This version will be the only release include the French version of "Open Season" (Une Autre Saison) and "Diamonds". The Global version will be released worldwide in January 2016, and will include other songs.
There will also be a Deluxe version of the album, which will include "In The Audience". We are so happy about this news; not only will we be able to hear the album in October, we will have three versions to look forward to!
Besides the good news that "Constant Runners" will be featured on the album, we can also announce two new song titles: "Logic" and "The Days", which are both old songs. "Logic" is a bit of a mystery at the moment, but "The Days" is a lighter, happier song in the same line as "Open Season".
We can also confirm that the version of "Night Swim" (song), which was played at ABC Radio last week, was the radio edit. The album version will be about 5 minutes long. MORE "NIGHT SWIM"!
Josef didn't only perform "Constant Runners" at the Amsterdam Woods Festival last Saturday, he also finally sang "Closer". We didn't have any footage of this song before, only the 14 seconds from Josef's Courtyard show back in 2014. We now have a full video, which will be added soon, and luckily we could decipher the lyrics. This amazing song has some disco vibes and it's one of Josef's more uptempo songs. Read a snippet of the lyrics below and go to our Music Section for the full thing.
We're further than before
And it’s harder than it used to be
When I wanna see you
‘Cause I need to
‘Cause I feel like it
‘Cause I want to
It gets the better of me
You don’t know how hard
It is to bare
Getting on without you
Without you I’m not getting anywhere
‘Cause every time that I see you
I can’t help but think
That you're a little more distant now
Than you were with me last week
When I just wanna get closer
A little closer to you
Get as close as I can
So close that I can’t breathe unless you do
The amazing Josef performed at the Amsterdam Woods Festival last Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised when he sang "Constant Runners". When I met up with him in March 2015 he told me the song would not be featured on the album, because it just didn't work. However, last Saturday he said "Constant Runners" WILL be added to the album. And what an amazing song it is! I was lucky enough to capture the entire performance and finally get the lyrics right.
By the time you get over here we will be gone
Everybody knows we don’t wait long
Some people said it’s cause we’re on the run
People will talk
I heard them saying we were broken and gold
I heard them saying we were weathered and old
I heard them saying we were out of control
And you said
Don’t stop looking around your shoulder
It’s all that lying, it’s making you bold
It’s all that crying, it’s making you old
It’s time, it’s time to get a grip
First of all, apologies for the lack of updates. Just because you can't see any news, doesn't mean we're not working backstage. We are currently working on the Fan Forum and editing videos. Next to that we have been working on some music previews. As a fansite, we do not mean to share any full songs, we're only here to promote Josef. We would like the people to hear his amazing work, and encourage them to buy it. Thanks to Social Media and music stores like iTunes, buying music is easy nowadays, and quite frankly, not that expensive anymore.
Having said that, we would like to refer you to our Soundcloud! Although we currently don't have the rights to share any of his released material (we are working on getting the license, *fingers crossed*), we did upload a few amazing previews of his best work; the "Punchline" and "Till I Found You" demos, a live performance of "Paradise" (at Botanique, Brussels on March 14, 2015) and the new, brilliant song "Night Swim" - which was premiered on ABC Radio a few days ago. As you can read above, they are all snippets. We hope you understand our point of view.
The preview is below, but if you would like to listen to the full version of "Night Swim", go to ABC Radio, hit the play button and fast forward to 27:00min.
The song is pretty amazing, but slightly differs from the live version, which is only accompanied by guitar and has a small difference in lyrics; the studio version is 'happiness saves', while the live version is 'happiness hides'.
The premiere on ABC Radio has fans question whether or not this is the next single. Unfortunately, we currently can't confirm or discard. However, it has been confirmed that album release has been pushed back to early 2016. Whether this is January or more in the line of Spring, we're not sure. We're hoping January, or simply changing their minds and still release it in October.
We are also wondering why they decided to postpone the album. Could this mean Josef is recording more songs? We're hoping to confirm soon!
Upcoming on Daily Salvation is a report on the Amsterdam Woods Festival, which will be happening tomorrow. Josef will be performing at 7:45pm, for anyone who's going. The full report will be up on Sunday at best.

We also added the official video for "Open Season (Une Autre Saison)". We are currently working on adding more.
There will be more on Daily Salvation in the next few weeks; there will absolutely be more content, such as information, interviews, articles etc; there will be more categories at the photo section, and the other categories will be filled with more photos; we are hoping to get more information on the album very soon; plus we are hoping to find a way to sell some merchandise on here (since it's all licensed we will have to have permission); and there will be a fan section in the form of a forum so you guys can discuss Mr. Salvat and really get involved in the site, since this is a FANsite!
It's finally here! After months of research, planning, set backs and health issues, Daily Salvation is finally done!
First, let me introduce myself - I am Giulietta (no, not the car) and I've been a fan of Josef for little over a year now. After seeing his pretty face on a music blog, and hearing "Open Season", I was hooked. And meeting him in November last year was one of the best moments - that was the moment I wanted to dedicate my time and my skills to him. Sounds a little dramatic, yes, but he deserves all the support he can get.
I'm not new to designing websites, or supporting musicians for that matter. I started my first fansite in 2003 on MSN Groups, which was basically the easiest way to do HTML (the editing program looked like writing an e-mail in Hotmail). It was dedicated to UK group Mis-Teeq, and I met a lot of great & talented people. Later, in 2005, I opened my first domain - a fansite for actor Garrett Hedlund. It became one of the biggest and best known sources, which was great but life intervened. I didn't have enough time to maintain it. After that I ran the official fanclub/fansite for singer/songwriter Lil' Eddie, but stopped because I had to plan my future.
In early 2013 I went back to school, after an absence of 7 years. This time I finished in 1,5 year, graduated with honor and could call myself a designer - this time for real. I specialized in promotional work like posters, brochures and flyers, but had some classes in webdesign as well. Which led me here. Unfortunately throughout the years a lot has changed - for the better. But because I didn't keep up with the latest online trends, I had a lot of learning to do before actually opening this website.
It took me well over 3 months to finish it, with every single detail working. After a lot of set backs (basically non functional parts and images that just wouldn't appear), it's finally done and I can say I'm proud.
Daily Salvation is, may I say, the first fansite for Josef Salvat. I made it so people would have an inside look of Josef's world, without having to read 300 articles to actually get to know him. Everything is here, from his full bio and tour schedule, to special photos and exclusive videos. I want to help promote Josef in the best way I know and can, and bring his fans together.
I sincerely hope every person that visits has a nice time and will think of Josef with a smile.
I would like to say a massive 'thank you' to a wonderful lady I have recently met on Instagram, miss Pauline! You are unique and I appreciate everything you've helped me with, from correcting the song lyrics to recorded Josef's performances - I couldn't have done it without you! Besides, you made me even more excited about doing this, so thank you x10.000!!
Thank you Jonny B, Jonny C & Bear for all your help! You guys are special!
Lastly, thank you Josef for being so fucking awesome! You're a star x

Fun Facts & Quotes
Josef Ignatius Salvat was born on October 27, 1989 in Sydney, Australia. During his childhood he moved around Australia a lot, living in Canberra for a while. When he was 15 he moved to Paris on an exchange program for school. What initially was meant to be 2 months, spiraled out to 8.
Being influenced as a youngster by classical music and ’80’s synth pop, while self-learning to play piano, Josef always knew he wanted to pursue a career in music. At age 13 he wrote his first song, “Eulogy”, which was inspired by the death of his grandmother. But it wasn’t until a later age when he started recording and getting his music out.
Knowing getting into the music scene wouldn’t be a path of roses, he made a back up plan; studying law at the University of Sydney. But by year 4, Josef had had it. He moved to Barcelona, Spain - where his father’s family once lived - to finish his degree. Every chance he got he would jump on cheap flights to London to get a taste of the London music scene. In May 2012, a short while after graduating, he moved to London permanently.
It was the first big step towards getting his music properly produced and out into the world. And so he did, working with producer Rich Cooper, and later putting his songs “This Life” and “Hustler” on the internet. The songs were instant hits, but his big break came when he recorded a cover of Rihanna’s “Diamonds”. The track became popular after Sony used it in its ad "Ice Bubbles" - for its new 4K Ultra HD television screen, giving Josef fame throughout England and parts of Europe.
After getting signed to Columbia, Josef spent some time in Spain and a couple of months in LA to later return to London to record his material. In September 2014 he released his EP “In Your Prime”, which included two new brilliant songs; “Open Season” and “Shoot And Run” - a song about that realization you have when you see the world for what it is, that no one really knows what they’re doing and that there is no ‘grand narrative’.
After having shot the music video for “Open Season”, he released a new version of “Hustler” in stead, setting the tone for his upcoming debut album. And in May 2015 he blew the internet up once again with his unexpected single “Till I Found You”, accompanied with a captivating music video - about finally finding a spark of light after a long and dangerous road.
Josef performed a set of upcoming album songs, such as “Paradise”, “Secret” and “In The Audience” on his previous tour, and during the summer of 2015 he premiered the new track “Night Swim”, announcing this will also be the title of his album. Later this year he will be touring the UK and Europe and is set to finally give us the highly anticipated masterpiece “Night Swim”.
Jonny Brister is a drummer from Ilminster, England. He joined Josef's band after performing live on Irish tv show "Other Voices" in 2013. He previously worked with Ariana & The Rose, Hurts, Lucy Spraggan and Kerri Watt.

Daniel Alexander is from London and is the youngest member of the band. After Josef's previous bassist Bear announced his leave, Dan was introduced by Josef's tour manager Ed. The band started rehearsing in the summer of 2015 and Dan hit the stage for the first time at NDR2 Soundcheck in Germany in September 2015.
Jonny M. Coote is a multi-instrumentalist from Chichester, West Sussex (England). He's worked with various artists, including Speech Debelle, Moya, Marika Hackman and was also the MD/keys-player for Grammy Award winning artist Foxes. He joined Josef's team in 2014.
These three amazing guys have accompanied Josef on his previous tours, various festivals in the UK, Germany and France, and are set to play during his upcoming "Night Swim" tour in October and November.
If you're going to one of the shows, make sure you stick around afterwards. Not only to get a chance to meet Josef, but also to have a chat with these lads, as they are bloody amazing!
Also check out the live videos in the video section to see them play. You don't want to miss out on greatness, do you?
